"Girls staring at a flower" series.

The concept:

Several portraits of girls and women in close up of her faces possing with a flower.

The models are contacted through the internet in several countries and the outline with her favourite flower and color is assented between the artist and the model.

Several of the models have taken photographs specially for this work and this is more interactive and playful.

The most delicate and interesting features have the highest priority as well as the emotions captured on the shots. Most of the models develope an artistic activity such as photography, performance, music or painting, but this is not a requirement, you can be whatever you are.

When the portrait is ended, I provide each model with a photograph in the higher resolution available.

I try to portray not only the beauty and expression of the girls from several countries and cultures, but also the interaction with her favorite flower which are so varied as her features.

The love this creative process vecause it is and has been funny.

My paintings have "messages", sometimes as comic balloons, in this case the message is the feeling that must express the eyes of the girl when she is sensibly apreciatting the beauty of the flower. Is some kind of romantic and naive series.
Girls know how to do that romatic or misterious eyes but you even can try thinking in your loved person, or whatever inspires you.

My first show of paintings from these series was released at Fabrica de Bananas, Buenos Aires, Argentina december 16 of 2005.

You can see some photos here:

The paintings

If you like to participate I would need, if you are so gentle, to provide me all or at least one of these pics:

1.- 3/4 profile photo slightly looking up, like in the photo of the Belen´s painting. the best the face and eyes are seen is better.
2.- a frontal pic of the face with the eyes looking extremely to the right and slightly up (Pirate Dollie´s pic).

Sometimes I only paint the face if the photo is a close-up, but is better for me to have a frame like in the Pirate Dollie painting: neck, shoulders, arms.
I dont want to show nudity but dont want to paint clothes either. Is more aesthetic when you can see all skin. Is like a suggested nude, is there, but is not.
You can wear a t-shirt strechted to the body so I can see the neck, the shoulders and the arms. Or nothing, is up to you, but I need to see what you real body is like, otherwise I have to invented, and I can, but I would like to paint you, not my imagination.
This is the frame I need, no breasts are needed in THIS serie (:

You may help me a lot and designing with me your painting if you provide me the answer to this questions:

1) What is your favorite color (I will use it on the background)

2) Which flower u like most?

These is data I will use to compose the outline in Photoshop and show you before I begin to paint.

Why look upside?

I ask for looking up because the flower that I usually paint in the upper part simbolizes the purity, the elevated feelings, it is like the girl is seeing the best things in life appearing at her and becoming reality.
Anyway, each person has his way of express what her best wishes and desires are, and these are different for each one, so it is needed to be the more authentic with what you feel about it.
Being and feeling what you really are.

Makeup and acting:

Makeup is only needed on the eyelashes, the hair you can use it as you feel better.
Acting is up to you, hands can participate and I like them a lot. You are totally free to express yourself.
Is very important to do it with pleasure and it must be playful.
If you want to be frightened, terrified, astonished or angry at the flower. that is ok too, it can be fun, so if you like to exchange several moods with the flower that is cool, enjoy yourself.

And is good to have in the session a real flower from the kind you like.

PS: If you think "Oh, nice proposal, I would like to do it but I am so busy now, it so much work..." maybe you have some photo which fits this requirements.
A very good photo can make a very good painting and I am opened to any pics that you love or believe that can work.
